A Season of Change

Have you ever felt that a sporting event was structured in an unfair way? It would be hard for any fan of American sports today to avoid that feeling. From playoffs to all-star games to halls of fame, from the NCAA to professional leagues, the structural rules of many popular sports could use a lot of improvement.

Fair Sports Rules is a FairVote initiative that seeks to improve the legitimacy, transparency, and fairness of the selection processes in different areas of the sports world. By applying FairVote's core values of fair and representative elections, Fair Sports Rules advocates sports rules that ensure that teams and players succeed or fail because of their performance in the game, rather than unjust processes outside of their control.
